I have been using this app for quite a few years and love it. What many of these reviewers don’t realize, is that you can just import (paste) songs already formatted (from many sources).
My system is quick and easy - find a song I would like to play, usually on chordie.com (which has a "view chopro" feature, from which you copy and paste). After dropping this into Chordpro Buddy, it is automatically formatted to my preset layout. I edit whatever I like, add a note, capo reminder, etc. - I then save it to my songbook folder in Dropbox. (you can of course, have categories within the songbook directory). On an iphone, iPad, or in my case a Kindle fire, I then use an app called Songbook which I can sync with this Dropbox folder. Voila! - from anywhere, I can use my device to scroll the lyrics and chords (with yellow characters on a black background, or whatever view you choose) to any of the hundreds of songs in my Dropbox folder.
When playing for friends or family - I used to be frustrated by not remembering all the words - or the chords. Now I just have to worry about the quality of my singing and playing. The tunes themselves are always at my fingertips.
